| WHEREAS, The United States is the leader of the free world; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, The United States has been the beacon of light and | ||
| hope when an international crisis occurs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The United States has the moral imperative to show | ||
| compassion by providing humanitarian assistance to innocent lives | ||
| who have been affected by conflicts that are beyond their control; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, The conflict in the Middle East has resulted in a | ||
| crisis that requires humanitarian assistance; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The State of Texas values protecting human lives; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, The State of Texas mourns all the lives that have | ||
| been lost; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby respectfully urge the | ||
| Congress of the United States to provide immediate humanitarian | ||
| assistance to those affected by the conflict in the Middle East; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the House forward official | ||
| copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, to | ||
| the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of | ||
| Representatives of the United States Congress, and to all the | ||
| members of the Texas delegation to congress with the request that | ||
| this resolution be entered in the Congressional Record as a | ||
| memorial to the Congress of the United States of America. | ||
