| WHEREAS, Mario Flores of Benbrook Middle-High School | ||
| received well-deserved recognition when he was presented with the | ||
| 2022-2023 Academic Chair for Teaching Excellence in Health and | ||
| Physical Education; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established by the Fort Worth Independent School | ||
| District, this prestigious accolade celebrates 16 elementary and | ||
| secondary school teachers who demonstrate a commitment to | ||
| excellence in one of 15 categories of instruction; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Flores was honored as the Blue Zones Project | ||
| health and physical education chair for secondary schools; a | ||
| graduate of Texas Christian University with nearly three decades of | ||
| teaching experience, he strives to build relationships with his | ||
| students and to create a positive classroom atmosphere where | ||
| everyone is encouraged to take risks, express themselves, share | ||
| ideas, and actively engage in their learning; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mario Flores exemplifies the passion, | ||
| determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our | ||
| best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all | ||
| in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Mario Flores on his selection as | ||
| the 2022-2023 Academic Chair for Teaching Excellence in Health and | ||
| Physical Education by the Fort Worth Independent School District | ||
| and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his | ||
| important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
