| WHEREAS, Words cannot fully express the heartache felt by the | ||
| family of Keren Ella Shalom Leal of Georgetown, who passed away on | ||
| January 5, 2023, at the age of 12; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in Georgetown on May 17, 2010, Ella Leal was the | ||
| beloved daughter of Janis and Roland Leal; she grew up with the | ||
| companionship and affection of nine older siblings, Emilie, Elise, | ||
| Caroline, Abigail, Luke, Ava, Josiah, Caleb, and Eden, and was | ||
| further blessed with many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and | ||
| nephews; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Creative and imaginative, Ella could often be found | ||
| exploring the outdoors and letting her curiosity about the world | ||
| guide her; in addition to devoting herself to her studies as a | ||
| homeschool student, she had a passion for drawing, painting, and | ||
| other artistic endeavors, and she also loved animals, especially | ||
| horses and dogs; she shared with her family a deep commitment to her | ||
| faith; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although the loss of this unique and vibrant young | ||
| girl is difficult to bear, Ella Leal brought a light into the lives | ||
| of her loved ones that can never be extinguished, and they will | ||
| forever keep her memory close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Keren Ella Shalom Leal | ||
| and extend profound condolences to the members of her family: to her | ||
| parents, Janis and Roland Leal; to her siblings, Emilie Leal | ||
| Plowman and her husband, Nathan, Elise Leal, Caroline Leal | ||
| Dominguez and her husband, Joe, Abigail Leal Scallan and her | ||
| husband, Evan, Luke Leal and his wife, Hope, Ava Leal, Josiah Leal, | ||
| Caleb Leal, and Eden Leal; and to her many other relatives and | ||
| friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ella Leal. | ||
