| WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their | ||
| memories of Juan C. Venecia of La Victoria, who passed away on | ||
| November 24, 2023, at the age of 81; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Pedro and Ernestina Venecia, Juan Venecia | ||
| was born in La Grulla on January 27, 1942; he enjoyed a rewarding | ||
| career of 18 years with General Mills in Aurora, Illinois, and he | ||
| went on to own several businesses in Alto Bonito, Texas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Venecia married the love of his life, Rebecca, | ||
| in 1965, and he took great pride in their four children, Juan, | ||
| Rosanna, Becky Lee, and Lisa Marie; with the passage of time, his | ||
| treasured family grew to include four grandchildren, Rosanna, | ||
| Santiago, Jake, and Alexa; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Juan Venecia lived a life that was rich in personal | ||
| and professional achievements, and he will forever be a source of | ||
| inspiration to those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory | ||
| of Juan C. Venecia and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of | ||
| his family: to his children, Juan A. Venecia and Becky Lee Venecia; | ||
| to his grandchildren, Rosanna Solis, Santiago Solis, Jake | ||
| Mackenzie, and Alexa Mackenzie; and to his other relatives and many | ||
| friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Juan | ||
| Venecia. | ||
