Summary

Increases fines and penalties for the illegal sale or possession of a controlled substance and marihuana; provides for the posting of drug-free school zone signs and provides enhanced penalties for possession or sale of drugs within such zones; defines "designer drug" and "crack"; imposes a mandatory five year minimum sentence and a $25,000 minimum fine on persons convicted of possession or sale of a controlled substance or marijuana while in possession of a firearm.
