SYNOPSIS
Directs the Dept. of Agriculture to establish a clearinghouse website for farmers to offer produce and dairy products for use by school breakfast programs, school lunch programs, and food banks.

An Act establishing a farmer clearinghouse website for use by school breakfast programs 1[and],1 school lunch programs, 1and food banks,1 and supplementing Title 1[18A] 41 of the 1[New Jersey] Revised1 Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. The Department of Agriculture1, in consultation with the Departments of Education and Health,1 shall develop and establish1, or partner with a nonprofit organization to develop and establish,1 a website to serve as a clearinghouse for farmers to provide produce and dairy products to school breakfast programs 1[and],1 school lunch programs1, and food banks1 throughout the State. The website shall provide a forum for farmers with produce and dairy products 1[available for use by school breakfast and lunch programs]1 to connect with any school 1[or],1 school district1, or food bank1 with a need for 1[the]1 produce or dairy products 1[for its] available for use by1 school breakfast or lunch 1[program] programs or for donations by a food bank1.
b. The Department of Agriculture may adopt, pursuant to the "Administrative Procedure Act," P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), any rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of this act.
2. This act shall take effect 1[immediately] 12 months after the date of enactment1.
