A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE TO SHARON NOBLES, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AT NORTH MISSISSIPPI HEALTH SERVICES IN TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE NUMBER ONE RECIPIENT OF THE "TOP 25 CFOs OF MISSISSIPPI AWARD FOR 2023" HONORING HER COMMITMENT TO HER BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND TO HER COMMUNITY.

     WHEREAS, we join the TOP CFOs of Mississippi Award organization (formerly Finance & Investing) in recognizing Sharon Nobles, Chief Financial Officer at North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo, Mississippi, for her business achievements and commitment to the overall prosperity of her community; and

     WHEREAS, Sharon Nobles serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS) in Tupelo, Mississippi, a company dedicated to providing the best patient- and family-centered care; and

     WHEREAS, NMHS connects patients and their families with convenient access to care that is cost-efficient and of the highest quality.  The company provides acute, diagnostic, therapeutic and emergency services, with the sole trauma center (Level 2) in its service area through North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo; and

     WHEREAS, before joining NMHS in 2017, Sharon Nobles worked with Baptist Health Care Corporation.  She served as VP and CFO for Acute Care Services and led all aspects of financial operations for three acute care hospitals and two joint-venture ambulatory surgery centers.  During her 23-year tenure with Baptist, she served in various financial leadership roles, including System CFO for two years.  Nobles graduated from the University of West Florida.  She is a CPA, designated as a certified treasury professional with the Association for Financial Professionals, and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association; and

     WHEREAS, CFOs in Mississippi navigate the complexities of the local economy, balancing fiscal responsibilities with strategic decision-making; and

     WHEREAS, the distinguished awardees on the Top 25 CFOs of Mississippi list demonstrate expertise in financial planning, risk management, and investment decisions, which have a ripple effect on the state's stability and resilience.  They play a pivotal role in steering businesses toward success and contributing to the overall well-being of their communities; and

     WHEREAS, the abundant forests in Northeast Mississippi support businesses engaged in timber production, manufacturing, healthcare and energy, and it is with great pride that we commend an individual who has played a pivotal role in steering these businesses toward success and contributed to the overall well-being of her community and to the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby extend the sincere congratulations of the Mississippi Senate to Sharon Nobles, Chief Financial Officer at North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo, Mississippi, as the Number One recipient of the "Top 25 CFOs of Mississippi Award for 2023" honoring her commitment to her business organization and to her community, and our best wishes for future success.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Sharon Nobles and her family, forwarded to North Mississippi Health Services and the Top 25 CFOs of Mississippi organization, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
