Summary
Establishing the Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program in the Maryland Department of Labor to provide temporary benefits to individuals who take leave from employment for certain purposes; establishing the Family and Medical Leave Insurance Fund to be used to pay certain benefits; requiring certain employees, employers, and self-employed individuals to contribute to the Fund; requiring the Secretary to establish the total rate of contribution; requiring the Secretary to establish a system of appeals; etc.
