2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Peter David Duytschaever of Coal | ||||||
4 | Valley, who passed away on April 29, 2024; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever was born to Camiel and | ||||||
6 | Rosemary (Gannon) Duytschaever in Rock Island on April 3, | ||||||
7 | 1949; following the early death of his mother, his father | ||||||
8 | remarried, and he was raised by his father and stepmother, | ||||||
9 | Clara (DeBates) Duytschaever; he graduated from Alleman High | ||||||
10 | School in 1967; he served in the I Corps of the U.S. Navy | ||||||
11 | during the Vietnam War; he married Carol Jean Stanford in | ||||||
12 | 2010; and

13 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever worked for John Deere | ||||||
14 | Davenport Works, retiring after 32 years of service; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever was a member of Vietnam | ||||||
16 | Veterans of America, Chapter 299; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever enjoyed hunting, fishing, | ||||||
18 | spending time with friends and family, and watching the | ||||||
19 | Chicago Bears, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the University of | ||||||
20 | Notre Dame football team; he loved being with his wife, | ||||||
21 | traveling, shopping, spending time at home with their dogs, or |

2 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever lived life to the fullest, | ||||||
3 | providing fun and entertainment wherever he went; and

4 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever was preceded in death by his | ||||||
5 | parents; his stepmother; his brother, Frank Herman; and his | ||||||
6 | sisters, Marianne Elder and Camilla Hillman; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Peter Duytschaever is survived by his wife, Carol | ||||||
8 | Jean Stanford-Duytschaever; his daughter, Allison (fiancé, | ||||||
9 | Christopher Brown) Miller; his grandchildren, Sadie Miller, | ||||||
10 | Hannah Miller, and Blake Miller; his sister, Janeen (John) | ||||||
11 | SantAmour; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
