2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert W. Bosslet Jr., who passed away on | ||||||
4 | August 20, 2010; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Vianney High School and the | ||||||
6 | University of Missouri; he primarily practiced law in Illinois, | ||||||
7 | and received many honors throughout his career; most notably, | ||||||
8 | he was named a Top Illinois Lawyer and served as president of | ||||||
9 | the Missouri/Southern Illinois Chapter of the American Board of | ||||||
10 | Trial Advocates, the Madison County Bar Association, and the | ||||||
11 | Tri-City Bar Association; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, He served on the Illinois Trial Lawyers | ||||||
13 | Association Board of Governors, and was a member of the | ||||||
14 | Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Bar Association | ||||||
15 | of Metropolitan St. Louis; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, From serving on the local planning and zoning | ||||||
17 | commission to his many environmental efforts, he took an active | ||||||
18 | interest in his community; he lived an active lifestyle, | ||||||
19 | swimming or running several miles every day; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Robert Bosslet Jr. is survived by his devoted wife | ||||||
21 | of 33 years, Alissa, nee Gasparovic; his children, Robert, |

1 | Elliott, and Anne; he was the son of Robert Bosslet Sr. and the | ||||||
2 | late Florence Bosslet, nee Bogucki; and the dear brother of | ||||||
3 | Kenneth Bosslet, Kathleen King, and Timothy Bosslet; | ||||||
4 | therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
7 | his family and friends, the passing of Robert Bosslet Jr.; and | ||||||
8 | be it further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Robert Bosslet Jr. as a symbol of | ||||||
11 | our sincere sympathy.
