Bill Title: Amends the Fox Waterway Agency Act. Provides that a member of the board of directors and the Chairman of the Fox Waterway Agency may be compensated at the discretion of the Board in the sum of up to $6,000 (rather than $3,000) per year for each director and up to $10,000 (rather than $5,000) per year for the Chairman, effective immediately upon approval of the Board. Provides that, at its discretion, the Board may adjust these amounts for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers as determined by the United States Department of Labor and rounded to the nearest $100.

615 ILCS 90/6 from Ch. 19, par. 1206

Amends the Fox Waterway Agency Act. Provides that a member of the board of directors and the Chairman of the Fox Waterway Agency may be compensated at the discretion of the Board in the sum of up to $6,000 (rather than $3,000) per year for each director and up to $10,000 (rather than $5,000) per year for the Chairman, effective immediately upon approval of the Board. 1 AN ACT concerning transportation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Fox Waterway Agency Act is amended by
5changing Section 6 as follows:
6 (615 ILCS 90/6) (from Ch. 19, par. 1206)
7 Sec. 6. The Board shall meet as soon as practicable after
8the directors assume the duties of office and shall meet at
9least 6 times annually or more often at the discretion of the
10Chairman or upon the request of 2/3 of the directors. The Board
11shall select from its membership a Secretary and a Treasurer.
12The Treasurer shall be custodian of all Agency funds and shall
13be bonded in such amount as the other members designate. The
14Chairman shall have the power to vote only in the event of a
15tie, but shall fully participate as a director in all other
16respects. Directors and the Chairman may be compensated at the
17discretion of the Board in the sum of up to $6,000 $3,000 per
18year for each director and up to $10,000 $5,000 per year for
19the chairman, effective immediately upon approval of the
20Board. At its discretion, the Board may adjust these amounts
21for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for
22all urban consumers as determined by the United States
