2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 222 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 490/222 new)
7 Sec. 222. United States Constitution Day. September 17 of
8each year is designated as United States Constitution Day, to
9be observed throughout the State as a day to celebrate and
10remember the founding document of the United States and the
11founding principles of the United States.
