Bill Title: Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. 5 ILCS 490/11 new
Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the month of October of each year is designated as Italian Heritage Month to be observed throughout the State as a month to recognize the contributions and influence of Italians on American history, achievement, culture, and innovation.

AN ACT concerning government.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
adding Section 11 as follows:
(5 ILCS 490/11 new)
Sec. 11. Italian Heritage Month. The month of October of
each year is designated as Italian Heritage Month to be
observed throughout the State as a month to recognize the
contributions and influence of Italians on American history,
achievement, culture, and innovation.
