SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
5 ILCS 490/11 new

Amends the State Commemorative Dates Act. Provides that the month of October of each year is designated as Italian Heritage Month to be observed throughout the State as a month to recognize the contributions and influence of Italians on American history, achievement, culture, and innovation.

1 AN ACT concerning government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5adding Section 11 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 490/11 new)
7 Sec. 11. Italian Heritage Month. The month of October of
8each year is designated as Italian Heritage Month to be
9observed throughout the State as a month to recognize the
10contributions and influence of Italians on American history,
11achievement, culture, and innovation.
