A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to health.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The auditor shall conduct an audit of all ongoing contracts with the department of human services to provide QUEST expanded access QExA managed care plans to cover eligible individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled.

     Specifically, the auditor shall focus on the occurrence and frequency under the managed care plans of late payments to health care providers by managed care plans and if the reasons therefor are justified.

     SECTION 2.  The auditor shall submit a report of the auditor's findings and any recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2016.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
