Summary
This Bill recognizes the adverse impact of restraining prisoners who are pregnant and its danger to a woman’s well-being during this time. The Bill ensures that a correctional institution does not use restraints on a pregnant prisoner except under very limited circumstances. It also requires correctional facilities to adopt rules to comply with the Act.
