Summary

This Bill would create a new license type known as a “Craft Distillery” which would enable entities to obtain a license to distill spirits. Delaware law currently allows for Farm Wineries and Microbreweries to manufacture limited quantities of wine and beer and this would add the final type of alcoholic beverage. Licensing craft distilleries is a national trend and would allow businesses intending to distill alcohol to locate in Delaware, thereby creating additional jobs and potentially increasing the use of Delaware agricultural products.
