AN ACT REQUIRING THE LABELING OF FOOD AND DRINK PRODUCTS THAT ARE PACKAGED IN MATERIALS THAT CONTAIN BISPHENOL-A.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require any food or drink product that is packaged with materials that contain bisphenol-A to be prominently labeled as such.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide information to consumers that will allow consumers to avoid the purchase and consumption of products that contain harmful toxins.
