AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' COMPENSATION EXPENSES FOR CERTAIN POLICE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to clarify that when a private individual or entity contracts with a municipality to acquire police services for events, such private individual or entity shall be responsible for paying any workers' compensation expenses for the police officers during the contracted period.
Statement of Purpose:
To clarify that when private persons contract police services from a municipality, such private persons are legally responsible for paying any workers' compensation expenses for the officers incurred during the contract period.
