AN ACT EXTENDING CERTAIN PET SHOP LICENSEE REQUIREMENTS TO THE ADOPTION OF ANIMALS AND CREATING AN IMPORTER LICENSE REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to extend pet shop licensee requirements concerning animals for sale to animals for adoption and to establish an animal importer license requirement.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide greater protections to consumers who purchase or adopt animals from pet shops and individuals who import animals.
