An act relating to postsecondary education.

AB 1780, as introduced, Ting. Postsecondary education: legacy admissions.
Existing law establishes the California State University, the University of California, and independent institutions of higher education as segments of postsecondary education in the state.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation to address legacy admissions in order to bring more equity and fairness to college admissions.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact future legislation to address legacy admissions in order to bring more equity and fairness to college admissions.
