An act relating to theft.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 1595, as introduced, Gallagher. Theft.
Under existing law, grand theft is the theft of anything of a value exceeding $950, with exceptions, and is punished as either a misdemeanor or a felony. All other theft is petty theft and is punished as a misdemeanor, with exceptions.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to theft.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to theft.
