WHEREAS, Zachary Andrew Carter, a brave young man with an unwavering and indomitable spirit who was a beloved member of the Springville community, died on November 3, 2023; and
WHEREAS, despite enduring unimaginable difficulties and adversities in his life, Zachary "Zac" Carter remained ever faithful, courageous, and optimistic; and
WHEREAS, Zac Carter's light brightened countless lives as his kind nature and good humor could fill any room he was in with laughter and joy; and
WHEREAS, Zac Carter was a video game aficionado who enjoyed Nintendo, Pokémon, and Mario Bros. games, yet he was happiest of all when spending quality time with his family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Zac Carter was supported throughout his life by his deep and abiding faith, and he enjoyed worship and fellowship with his communities at Mudford Church of Christ and Springville Christian Church in Tazewell County; and
WHEREAS, Zac Carter will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving parents, Jeff and Amy; his sister and best friend, Rachel; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of Virginia hereby note with great sadness the loss of Zachary Andrew Carter, a cherished member of the Springville community who demonstrated the power of faith to others and who was an inspiration to all who knew him; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Zachary Andrew Carter as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's respect for his memory.
