SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 5059
Offered June 23, 2014
Providing that the 2014 Special Session I of the General Assembly of Virginia shall not consider appointments communicated by the Governor after June 2, 2014, and that the failure to consider any such appointment shall not be deemed a refusal to confirm the appointment.

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That this 2014 Special Session I shall not consider the confirmation of any person appointed to office by the Governor whose appointment is subject to confirmation by the General Assembly and communicated to the General Assembly after June 2, 2014. The failure to consider any such appointment shall not be deemed a refusal to confirm the appointment, and the confirmation of such appointment shall be considered at the next regular session of the General Assembly.
