SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 171
Commending Jennifer McCall.

WHEREAS, Jennifer McCall, an esteemed mathematics educator at North Stafford High School, was named the Stafford County Public Schools Teacher of the Year in 2022-2023; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer "Jenni" McCall joined the faculty at North Stafford High School (NSHS) in 2012, where she teaches Algebra 1, taking great care to guide her students during a crucial phase in their mathematics education; and

WHEREAS, Jenni McCall has been recognized for her dedication to helping at-risk students at NSHS, including students receiving special education or English language learner services, pass the Algebra 1 Standards of Learning exam, an important step on their paths to graduation; and

WHEREAS, Jenni McCall's resolute faith in her students has instilled in them the confidence they need to succeed, preparing them to achieve greatness both in and out of the classroom; and

WHEREAS, Jenni McCall was also recently recognized as the North Stafford High School Teacher of the Year for 2022-2023 and by Northern Virginia Magazine as its 2023 Teacher of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Jenni McCall has exemplified the highest virtues of the education profession through her unwavering commitment to her students, earning the respect and admiration of all Virginians; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Jennifer McCall of North Stafford High School for being named the 2022-2023 Stafford County Public Schools Teacher of the Year; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Jennifer McCall as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her devotion to her students and for her contributions to Stafford County Public Schools and the Commonwealth.
