CHAPTER 471
An Act related to antisemitism; adoption of the non-legally binding Working Definition of Antisemitism as a tool and guide for recognizing and combating antisemitic discrimination in the Commonwealth.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That the Commonwealth adopts the non-legally binding Working Definition of Antisemitism adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on May 26, 2016, including the contemporary examples of antisemitism set forth therein, exclusively as a tool and guide for training, education, recognizing, and combating antisemitic hate crimes or discrimination and for tracking and reporting antisemitic incidents in the Commonwealth.

2. That the provisions of this act shall not be construed to diminish or infringe upon any right protected under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution or the Constitution of Virginia.
