SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 546
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  join registered nurses across the state in celebrating May of
  2023 as Nurses Month; and
 
         WHEREAS, Registered nurses constitute the state's largest
  health care profession and provide daily care to Texans in
  hospitals, nursing homes, home health care situations, and
  countless other settings, including on the frontlines of the
  COVID-19 pandemic; and
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Nurses Association
  champion increased access to health care, improved utilization
  of state resources, and excellence in patient treatment; these
  registered nurses set the standard of care in Texas and work
  diligently to meet the emerging health care needs of the
  state's population; and
 
         WHEREAS, Nurses advocate on behalf of their patients in
  multiple arenas, from bedside care to public policy, and they
  have earned the lasting respect, admiration, and appreciation of
  all Texans for bringing the highest quality of care to the
  residents of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, hereby recognize May of 2023 as Nurses Month and
  commend all nurses on their invaluable service to the State of
  Texas; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of Nurses Month.
