| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 33, Education Code, is amended by adding | ||
| new Section 33.0835 to read as follow: | ||
| Sec. 33.0835. PAY-PER-VIEW DISALLOWED. The University | ||
| Interscholastic League is prohibited from allowing its | ||
| participants to use pay-per-view for broadcasting athletic | ||
| competitions. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
