| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 223, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 223.251 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 223.251. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 635 EAST PROJECT. The | ||
| department may enter into a design-build contract under Section | ||
| 223.242 for the Interstate Highway 635 East project from U.S. | ||
| Highway 75 to Interstate Highway 30 if the department does not | ||
| operate any portion of the project as a toll project. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect August 31, 2015. | ||
