| WHEREAS, The service of an admired Pecos County official drew | ||
| to a close when Santiago Cantu Jr. retired as county commissioner on | ||
| December 31, 2022; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Cantu served his | ||
| fellow citizens with distinction, ably meeting the myriad | ||
| responsibilities of his office; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through his dedication and commitment to good | ||
| governance, Santiago Cantu Jr. has helped make Pecos County an even | ||
| better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of | ||
| excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Santiago Cantu Jr. for his service as a | ||
| Pecos County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
| the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Cantu as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
