WHEREAS, Throughout the 88th Legislative Session, State | ||
Representative Cecil Bell Jr. has benefited immeasurably from the | ||
outstanding work of his dedicated staff; and | ||
WHEREAS, Travis Griffin has demonstrated exemplary | ||
leadership as Representative Bell's chief of staff; he has served | ||
with the Texas Legislature for 10 legislative sessions, including 5 | ||
as a chief of staff with the House of Representatives; he previously | ||
acted as political director of the Republican Party of Texas and as | ||
the first executive director of the Innovation & Technology Caucus | ||
of the Texas House; and | ||
WHEREAS, Back for his second session with the House of | ||
Representatives, Kyle Camera has helped carry forth Representative | ||
Bell's legislative agenda in his role as legislative director; | ||
during the interim, he serves as a campaign consultant and project | ||
manager, providing expert guidance to candidates and their staff; | ||
he is particularly known for his abilities in social media | ||
enhancement and graphic and media design; and | ||
WHEREAS, Having previously worked in Representative Bell's | ||
office during the 85th Legislative Session, district director Nira | ||
Miller has played a vital role in managing the representative's | ||
district office; a former congressional staffer, she has also | ||
worked on congressional campaigns and coordinated media relations | ||
for think tanks, government agencies, and nonprofits; and | ||
WHEREAS, Anagha Uppal has distinguished herself in her | ||
responsibilities as a policy analyst during the legislative | ||
session; involved in renewable energy and sustainability, she is a | ||
data scientist and project manager who has spent time in academia | ||
and worked for nonprofits and for the United Nations; and | ||
WHEREAS, Working tirelessly to keep the office running | ||
smoothly throughout the session, Mindy Escobedo has served as both | ||
an administrative aide and a legislative aide; a student at Lamar | ||
University, she has held the positions of university ambassador, | ||
Zeta Tau Alpha president, and recording secretary for the Mexican | ||
Heritage Society; moreover, she frequently volunteers her time and | ||
talents in behalf of her community; and | ||
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, legislative aide John Durr | ||
has provided invaluable support by undertaking a wide variety of | ||
challenging tasks, including performing constituency services and | ||
analyzing policy; a native Austinite, he has worked for the Texas | ||
Legislature for five legislative sessions, including two with the | ||
House of Representatives; and | ||
WHEREAS, These esteemed public employees have performed | ||
their duties with great skill and dedication, and they are indeed | ||
deserving of special recognition for their fine work; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby commend the staff of State Representative Cecil | ||
Bell Jr. for their exemplary service and extend to them sincere best | ||
wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared | ||
for each member of the staff as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
