R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Bob Mabee served his country with great honor and
  distinction as a member of the United States military, and he is
  being recognized for his contributions at the Clint Veterans Day
  Celebration on November 11, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Originally celebrated as Armistice Day in
  recognition of the end of World War I, Veterans Day now honors all
  who have served in the armed forces, including the former members of
  the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast
  Guard, and National Guard; by upholding America's foundational
  values of selflessness and sacrifice, they have helped ensure that
  our country's promise will endure for generations to come; and
         WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Bob Mabee
  served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer 1st class; and
         WHEREAS, Demonstrating exemplary dedication, Bob Mabee
  upheld the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces during his years
  in uniform, and his fellow citizens owe him a lasting debt of
  gratitude; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Bob Mabee for his
  military service on the occasion of the 2023 Clint Veterans Day
  Celebration and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Mabee as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
