| WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has been selected as the 2023 State | ||
| Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the Association of Texas | ||
| Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Texas State Soil and | ||
| Water Conservation Board; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, ATSWCD and TSSWCB recognize individuals | ||
| for their steadfast commitment to the conservation and management | ||
| of renewable natural resources; the state honorees in each category | ||
| are chosen out of entries from across Texas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Gardner was nominated for the State Wildlife | ||
| Conservationist of the Year award by the Upper Llanos Soil and Water | ||
| Conservation District in Junction; he will be presented with the | ||
| accolade and honored for his achievements at the 83rd Annual | ||
| Meeting of Texas State Soil and Water Conservation District | ||
| Directors in Fort Worth later this year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has distinguished himself through his | ||
| valuable contributions to wildlife conservation in the Lone Star | ||
| State, and he is truly deserving of special recognition for his | ||
| efforts; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Gary Gardner on being selected as | ||
| the 2023 State Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the | ||
| Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the | ||
| Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Gardner as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
