| WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers received two Texas Best | ||
| Awards at the 34th Annual Texas Crime Stoppers Conference, which | ||
| took place in McAllen from October 3 through 5, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Presented by the Office of the Texas Governor, the | ||
| Texas Best Awards recognize the top Crime Stoppers organizations | ||
| from across the state; this year, Moore County Crime Stoppers was | ||
| honored in the categories of Most Cases Cleared for 2022 and | ||
| Greatest Dollar Recovery for 2022; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers provides residents with | ||
| a secure and anonymous way to report criminal activity in their | ||
| area; the organization operates a hotline to field tips about | ||
| crimes, and a cash reward is paid out for information that leads to | ||
| an arrest; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Moore County Crime Stoppers has played an | ||
| instrumental role in ensuring the safety and well-being of area | ||
| citizens, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the | ||
| organization for its invaluable contributions to the community; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Moore County | ||
| Crime Stoppers on receiving two Texas Best Awards at the 34th Annual | ||
| Texas Crime Stoppers Conference and extend to all those associated | ||
| with the organization sincere best wishes for continued success | ||
| with their important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Moore County Crime Stoppers as an expression of high | ||
| regard by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
