| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 23, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 23.01(c) to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 23.01(c). Nothwithstanding Section 23.01(b), the | ||
| holder of a local distributor's permit may purchase distilled | ||
| spirits directly from the holder of a distiller's and rectifier's | ||
| permit located within the same county or an adjacent county as the | ||
| holder of a local distributor's permit's premises. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on September 1, 2023. | ||
