A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the enforcement of county traffic rules in certain
private subdivisions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 542.007, Transportation
Code, is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 542.007. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS: PRIVATE SUBDIVISION [IN
CERTAIN COUNTIES].
SECTION 2. Section 542.007(a), Transportation Code, is
amended to read as follows:
(a) This section applies only to a subdivision that is
located in the unincorporated area of a county [with a population of
500,000 or less].
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
