| relating to the authority of the Nixon Hospital District of | ||
| Gonzales and Wilson Counties, Texas, to borrow money. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 1080, Special District | ||
| Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 1080.112 to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| Sec. 1080.112. AUTHORITY TO BORROW MONEY. The board may | ||
| contract indebtedness or borrow money for district purposes on the | ||
| credit of the district or secured by revenues of district hospitals | ||
| and the hospital system. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
