  Requires Department of Transportation to study issues related
to alternative fuel vehicles.
  Sunsets January 2, 2015.
  Declares emergency, effective on passage.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to alternative fuel vehicles; and declaring an
  emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) The Department of Transportation shall
undertake a study of issues related to alternative fuel vehicles,
including but not limited to proposals to increase the use of
alternative fuel vehicles in Oregon.
  (2) The department shall report the results of the study to the
interim committees of the Legislative Assembly related to
transportation on or before November 1, 2013. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 1 of this 2013 Act is repealed on
January 2, 2015. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
