| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Ohio Christian University men's basketball team as the 2014 National Christian College Athletic Association Division II State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of athletes, the members of the Ohio Christian University men's basketball team have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad. At this year's National Christian College Athletic Association Division II Championship, the Trailblazers defeated a tough Arlington Baptist College team by a score of 91-69 to secure their second consecutive such title; and |
| WHEREAS, The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration. In leading his team to victory, Coach Tony Stockman has not only helped each player to develop his talents to the fullest, but he has also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Ohio Christian University men's basketball team have demonstrated remarkable perseverance and dedication in all of their endeavors, and their athletic prowess is reflected in their tremendous success. Indeed, the Trailblazers have set a record of achievement that is worthy of emulation; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Ohio Christian University men's basketball team on its outstanding 2013-2014 season and wish the players and coach health and prosperity; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Christian University men's basketball team. |
