| Honoring the National Aviation Hall of Fame on receiving the 2012 Donald D. Engen Trophy for Aviation Excellence. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the National Aviation Hall of Fame on being presented with the 2012 Donald D. Engen Trophy for Aviation Excellence from the Aero Club of Washington; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious distinction offers all those associated with the National Aviation Hall of Fame the unique opportunity to reflect on the success of the past and to look with optimism to the future. The organization has reaffirmed the Wright Brothers' standard of excellence in aviation, and clearly, it is deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, the staff of the National Aviation Hall of Fame, including its current chairman, Phil Roberts, have certainly distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans. Indeed, these fine people have earned the respect and admiration of the community and have set an example worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, For fifty years, the National Aviation Hall of Fame has worked to recognize and honor notable individuals in the field of aviation, and its generous efforts have gained it the gratitude and esteem of many. We are certain that as this worthy agency maintains its dedication to the legacy of such aviation pioneers as the Wright Brothers, it will continue in the tradition of eminence that has become its hallmark; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the National Aviation Hall of Fame on its recent attainment and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the National Aviation Hall of Fame. |
