Senate Bill 2498

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE SEAL OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI SHALL INCLUDE THE PHRASE "IN GOD WE TRUST"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The official Seal of the State of Mississippi kept by the Governor pursuant to Section 126 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890 shall include the phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2014.
