House Bill 1762

N ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO ABANDONED TO ADORED, WHICH IS A NONPROFIT ANIMAL SHELTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00), during fiscal year 2023-2024, out of any available fund of the county, to Abandoned to Adored, which is a nonprofit animal shelter that provides shelter for displaced or homeless animals in the county, and thus, improves the quality of life for the citizens and homeless animals of the county.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
