House Bill 1023

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN REST AREA LOCATED ALONG INTERSTATE 10 IN JACKSON COUNTY AS THE "BILLY BROOMFIELD REST AREA"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Mississippi Department of Transportation rest area located along Interstate 10 in Jackson County, Mississippi, is designated and shall be known as the "Billy Broomfield Rest Area."

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs, which reflect its name, at and approaching the rest area, and may also place a plaque in honor of Billy Broomfield at the rest area described in subsection (1) of this section.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
