1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to economic development; appropriating money for the small business
1.3development center program.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTERS; APPROPRIATION.
1.6$500,000 in fiscal year 2015 is appropriated from the general fund to the
1.7commissioner of employment and economic development for grants to small business
1.8development centers under Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.68. Funds made available
1.9under this section may be used to match funds under the federal small business
1.10development center (SBDC) program under United States Code, title 15, section 648, to
1.11provide consulting and technical services, or to build additional SBDC network capacity
1.12to serve entrepreneurs and small businesses. The commissioner shall allocate funds
1.13equally among the nine regional centers and lead center. This is a onetime appropriation
1.14and is available until expended.
