1.2relating to capital improvements; appropriating money to establish the Northern
1.3Minnesota Veterans Home; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. NORTHERN MINNESOTA VETERANS HOME.
1.6 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $250,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.7fund to the commissioner of veterans affairs for predesign of a 90-bed geriatric nursing
1.8facility for veterans on the campus of the North County Regional Hospital in the city of
1.9Bemidji. This facility shall be known as the "Northern Minnesota Veterans Home."
1.10 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in subdivision 1 from the
1.11bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.12bonds of the state in an amount up to $250,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.13the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.14Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.15 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.16Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
