2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Joseph A. Karijolich of Cary, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on February 29, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Karijolich was born in Yugoslavia to Joseph | ||||||
6 | and Ivka Karijolich on March 19, 1930; he married Barbara A. | ||||||
7 | Staehle in Chicago on May 12, 1951 and served in the military | ||||||
8 | during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Joseph Karijolich was a member of the Crystal Lake | ||||||
10 | Veterans of Foreign Wars; he was active at St. Barnabas | ||||||
11 | Lutheran Church, where he volunteered with the Meals on Wheels | ||||||
12 | program and the Cary Food Pantry; and

13 | WHEREAS, Joseph Karijolich is survived by his wife, | ||||||
14 | Barbara; his children, Karen (Bill) Osmanski, Mike (Laurel) | ||||||
15 | Karijolich, and Tom (Denise) Karijolich; his grandchildren, | ||||||
16 | Will, Kevin, Alison (Frank), John (Katie), Rachel, Ryan | ||||||
17 | (Carla), and Steven (Maki); his great-grandchildren, Rose and | ||||||
18 | Lydia; and his sister, Rosemary Miller-Sarich; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
21 | Joseph A. Karijolich, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
