2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Aldridge D. "Denny" Gaines, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on December 9, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Aldridge Gaines was born to Willie Shelton and | ||||||
6 | Lottie (Yarbro) Gaines in Benis, Tennessee on September 14, | ||||||
7 | 1930; he served in the United States Air Force; he married | ||||||
8 | Norma "Jean" Pope in Mississippi on August 11, 1951; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Aldridge Gaines worked as a car foreman for | ||||||
10 | Illinois Terminal and Norfolk Southern Railroads; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Aldridge Gaines was preceded in death by his | ||||||
12 | parents; two brothers, Willie and Robert Gaines; and a sister, | ||||||
13 | Clara Marie Gaines; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Aldridge Gaines is survived by his wife; his sons, | ||||||
15 | Allen Gaines, Brad (Donna) Gaines, and Jeff Gaines; his | ||||||
16 | daughter, Jan Timmins; his grandchildren, David Gaines, Scott | ||||||
17 | (Daisy) Gaines, Hope (Drew) Mader, Daniel Timmins, Josh (Jeni) | ||||||
18 | Timmins, Trish (Corey) Murphy, Bradley Gaines, Brett Gaines, | ||||||
19 | Jill Gaines, and Krista Gaines; his great-grandchildren, | ||||||
20 | Logan, Lucas, and Samara Gaines, Mary Hager, Wren and Willow | ||||||
21 | Mader, Owen and Elliott Timmins, Dallas and Blair Murphy, and |
