A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Reverend Terrie Welch; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, born and raised in Stockbridge, Georgia, Reverend Terrie Welch, whose destiny and steps have been ordered by God, was chosen for salvation and filled with the Holy Spirit early in life; and

WHEREAS, she earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Mercer University in 1982 and played professional basketball in Barcelona, Spain, upon graduating college; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Welch was called into ministry in 2001 and became licensed in 2004 at Floyd Chapel Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, in 2005, she became a part of the ministerial staff under the leadership of Reverend Timothy McDonald III at First Iconium Baptist Church, where she serves as a spiritual advisor for the senior ministry; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Welch is blessed with two wonderful sons, Billy and Terrance, and an adorable grandson, Quintez; and

WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Welch is a source of strength, inspiration, and direction for persons in all walks of life and from all economic strata; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she has made of her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Reverend Terrie Welch for her exemplary fellowship and leadership in the name of God and extend to her their sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Reverend Terrie Welch.
