A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Ms. Tiana Ferrell; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Tiana Ferrell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business with an emphasis in entertainment/sports marketing from American Intercontinental University and a Master of Science degree in entertainment business and sports management from Full Sail University; and

WHEREAS, she is managing partner of PYT Media Group, where she is responsible for overseeing the implementation of all PYT Media Group productions, publicity, and special events, and serves as the publisher's assistant for FEARLESS Magazine; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Ferrell has worked with Arian Simone Enterprises providing publicity for various movies, including Takers, Shark Night 3D, Limitless, and Death at a Funeral; and

WHEREAS, in an effort to preserve the legacy of her great-great-grandmother, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, Ms. Ferrell is involved with several projects that were named after her, including a scholarship fund at Rust College, the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Birthday Celebration, the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Museum, and the Ida B. Wells Memorial Foundation, where she serves as the director of community outreach; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Ferrell was named Miss Congeniality in the 2009 Miss Georgia USA Pageant; and

WHEREAS, she volunteers with numerous organizations, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Atlanta Urban League, and the NAACP; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ms. Tiana Ferrell for her outstanding contributions to the State of Georgia and extend to her their sincere best wishes for future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Tiana Ferrell.
