DELAWARE STATE SENATE

150th GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 67

EXTENDING THE DIVISION OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SERVICES TASK FORCE.

WHEREAS, Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 62 of the 150 th General Assembly established the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services Task Force to study and make recommendations regarding the Division’s policies, rules, structure, and regulations; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was due to issue its final report to the General Assembly and the Governor by January 31, 2020; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force has met regularly since July 2019; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force created 5 subcommittees to study in more depth matters associated with the Division; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force and its subcommittees have additional work to complete before the Task Force can compile a final report; and

WHEREAS, to appropriately conclude the Task Force’s work, the deadline for the its final report must be modified.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 150th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the date by which the final report of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services Task Force is due is extended to July 31, 2020.

SYNOPSIS

The Division of Developmental Disabilities Services Task Force was established under Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 62 of the 150th General Assembly. The Task Force has met regularly since August 2019, but needs additional time to complete its work. This Concurrent Resolution extends the due date of the Task Force's final report to July 31, 2020.
