152nd GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 108

EXTENDING A WARM WELCOME TO JACK CHAMBERS, TD, MINISTER OF STATE, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.

WHEREAS, Jack Chambers is the Fianna F á il TD for Dublin West; and

WHEREAS, he is the Minister of State, attending Cabinet, in the Department of Transport and the Department of the Environment, Climate, and Communications; and

WHEREAS, Minister Chambers’ official visit to the United States includes Washington, D.C., and Delaware; and

WHEREAS, Minister Chambers has known many visits to “The States”; and

WHEREAS, Minister Chambers has the distinction of being the first Minister of State from the Republic of Ireland to visit the Delaware General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, during his visit, Minister Chambers will meet with the Governor, members of the Cabinet, members of the Delaware General Assembly, and Irish societies; and

WHEREAS, Minister Chambers will also meet with the Honorary Consul to Ireland, Delaware, at the recently established Consulate at Wilmington’s Riverfront.

NOW THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 152 nd General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, Minister Chambers is warmly welcomed to Legislative Hall and the First State and extending best wishes for a long and fruitful career.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this visit will enhance the continued relationship between the State of Delaware and the Republic of Ireland.

SYNOPSIS

This Concurrent Resolution welcomes Minister Jack Chambers upon his visit to the State of Delaware.
